Teeth Whitening
Are your teeth stained? Do you wish for a brighter, more brilliant smile? If your teeth are yellowed with no restorations, Dr. Derek C. Barnes may recommend teeth whitening in Charlotte, North Carolina. Other shades of staining may not bleach as well or at all. Restorations like dental fillings and dental crowns will not react to the whitening product, so they will stand out against your newly whitened teeth. Our dentist offers ZOOM! Whitening and at-home whitening.
Invisalign®
Are your teeth crowded or crooked? Do you wish for a straighter, more radiant smile? Ask. Dr. Derek C. Barnes about Invisalign® in Charlotte, North Carolina. Invisalign is the leading brand of clear aligners. Clear aligners are a set of tight-fitting retainers that are custom made to slip over your teeth. These aligners gently straighten your teeth over time. Every two weeks, our dentist will provide you with the next set of clear aligners.
Teeth Cleaning
Dr. Derek C. Barnes recommends that you and your family schedule a teeth cleaning in Charlotte, North Carolina, at least every six months. This appointment includes a professional teeth cleaning, fluoride, a dental exam, and dental X-rays.
Root Canal Therapy
Dental pulp is the soft area in the center of a tooth where the veins, nerves, and connective tissues are located. If a tooth’s dental pulp becomes infected, Dr. Derek C. Barnes may recommend a root canal in Charlotte, North Carolina. Root canal therapy is the process by which our dentist removes the infected dental pulp, bacteria, and debris from a tooth. After the tooth is thoroughly cleaned out, our dentist will seal the tooth and place a dental filling.

Dr. Straughan combines advanced training in implant placement and IV moderate sedation with a genuine passion for helping patients overcome fear and rediscover confidence in their smiles. As a proud member of the American Dental Association and the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology, he’s committed to staying on the cutting edge of modern, comfortable, and minimally invasive dentistry.
Dr. Noah Vroman is an associate dentist at Orchard Lake Dentistry, where his mission is to provide exceptional, family-focused dental care in a welcoming environment. As a general dentist, he is committed to helping patients of all ages achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized, compassionate treatment.
At Orchard Lake Dentistry, Dr. Vroman’s philosophy is simple: patients come first.
